Our association with Day Consultants adds another 30 years of China expertise with notable depth in copyright and trademark issues, motion pictures, digital content, and software in China . Until earlier this year, Mark Day, its Founder and Managing Director, had served Chief Representative in China and Regional Legal Counsel, Asia-Pacific for the Motion Picture Association of America (MPA). He remains MPA's legal counsel on China litigation and other matters. Mark is also working closely with Microsoft Corporation and ISAN-IA under the International Standards Organization in Geneva and others in the media, entertainment, and software industries to develop the use of anti-counterfeiting technology for global application. His involvement with China goes back to his early Chinese language and history studies at the University of Queensland in his native Australia , in the 1970s. He was among the first foreign students to study in China when the universities reopened after the cultural revolution, entering the Beijing Languages Institute for postgraduate language studies in 1979 and then, from 1980 to 1983, at Nanjing University. After that, from 1984, when Australia reopened its consulate in Shanghai , he served for a number of years as a Trade Commissioner for Australia there. He moves among his office in Sydney, another in Shanghai , and our office in Beijing .


Our association with Dynamic Strategies Asia, LC (DSA), a Japan-focused consultancy, ensures a complementary array of services for companies entering or operating in the Japanese market. DSA Principals have decades of experience working with corporations and business associations on business and policy issues in Japan. The firm specializes in corporate affairs counsel, external strategies to effectively deal with legislation and regulation. DSA also provides a wide range of related business, market intelligence, and due diligence services. All members of the DSA staff are fluent in Japanese and are living or have lived in Japan. This link is also useful for Western companies expanding into China through regional headquarters in Japan, or through their Japanese subsidiaries. A member of our Beijing staff is also fluent in Japanese. Dynamic Strategies' offices are based in Tokyo and just outside Washington, DC, in Bethesda, MD.


Interlink Capital Strategies, established in 1994 as Interlink Management Corp., is a Washington DC based consulting firm specializing in emerging market finance and business development. Its managers are experts in international project financing, trade financing, raising private equity, business development and marketing with a Washington insider's expertise on how to access government programs and political support for international business transactions. Interlink has successfully arranged billions of dollars of financing and used government advocacy and strategic industry relations to structure transactions world wide.

Originally founded by Tim Bridgewater and Neil Bush, brother of US President George Bush, to focus on business between the U.S. and Asia, it expanded, in 1998, into domestic private equity and is now invested directly and indirectly in approximately 60 U.S. companies through a publicly-traded Small Business Investment Company, More America Capital Corporation (NASDAQ symbol: MACC). Interlink Solutions was set up in 2003 to provide sales, marketing and business development support to U.S. companies seeking to expand overseas, as well as foreign companies seeking to enter the U.S. market. Summit Ventures International, which specializes in U.S. government advocacy, became part of Interlink in 2004.

DDA's working association with Interlink is further enhanced by the service of Lew Cramer, an Interlink principal, on our International Advisory Board. Lew was formerly Director General of the US Commercial Service, which overseas the commercial offices in US Embassies and Consulates in China and elsewhere around the world.
